Model 122 Gleason Hypoid Generator

This Gleason machine is suitable for roughing, finishing or “single-pass”
completing of spiral bevel, hypoid and zerol bevel gears up to 18”
(450mm) diameter, by 2.75 (70mm) face-width, and 2 DP (12.7 module).
It is intended to produce gears and/or pinions by the Cyclex and/or
Formate method, “Single-Cycle” or “Helixact”
Mode, Single-Pass (one-cut) completing, Dual Flank Finishing, as well
as conventional Roughing and/or Finishing.
It Comes Equipped with these Features:
Hydraulic double-acting chucking mechanism less draw-in bar and nut
Work spindle clamping, cradle yoke and index positioning arrangement
Automatic work spindle rotational set-over (required for Dual Cycle
cutting)
Auxiliary, hydraulically assisted brake mechanism for clamping of work-spindle
Helical motion
Gleason automatic counter and stop
Full complement of electrics (motors/controls) for 3-phase, 50/60 Hz,
220/440
Self contained hydraulic system
High volume coolant system
